Looking back at the whole process, I’m really happy with how Azure turned out. It took a lot of effort and there were a lot of challenges (especially learning Illustrator from zero), but seeing the final magazine with the clean layout, consistent house style and my own photos everywhere makes it all worth it. This project helped me improve my design skills, my patience with editing, and my ability to create something cohesive from start to finish. I’m genuinely proud with loo

Feature Page
For the feature article, I wanted to show a completely different side of the Riviera that most people never see. Instead of the usual glamorous beaches and busy promenades, I focused on the quiet residential streets of Cap d’Antibes, where these massive old pine trees create beautiful canopies. I really liked writing about how this green landscape feels so different from the mainstream Riviera. It’s a hidden, everyday elegance that only locals truly get to experience. For the

Contents Page
For the title page, I went with a minimalist picture of a tree with a strong contrast. I really like how I managed to blend the two pages using a black-and-white contrast. On the right side, I kept everything super clean on a black background so the white text pops out nicely and feels elegant. Front & Back Cover
One of the hardest things I have encountered when choosing the photos was that they needed to be in some way similar to each other. Photo Editing
After selecting the photos that I preffered, I imideately started editing them. To edit the photos, I have used Adobe Lightroom, a program in which I have worked many times before. My main focus with the photos was to adjust the vibrance and contrast, as they were not very accurate since I used a phone camera. I have attached below some screenshots of my work + before & after:

Photoshoot Outcome
I am very happy with the photos that I have taken. Unfortunately, due to some renovations of the Monte Carlo Casino, I was unable to take the shots that I wanted and planned. Another thing that popped up was that I was unable to use my camera (Sony A6300 + Sigma f1.4 16mm) because I forgot the battery at home... However, these events helped me realize that I am capable of adapting on the spot depending on the situation. I am very happy that I shot one good photo in Monte Carl

Magazine Genre Research
When I started planning my AS Media Studies magazine, I knew I wanted it to feel like a luxury lifestyle publication inspired by the French Riviera. To get hold of exactly how such magazines work, I analysed three titles in the same genre: L’Officiel Riviera, Hello Monaco, and Condé Nast Traveller. Hello Monaco follows a similar approach but feels slightly more journalistic. The masthead is clean and modern, the covers often show iconic Monaco locations with a model placed in
